Getting here by car
You'll find The White Bear in the small hamlet of Fickleshole, a few minutes' drive from the nearby town of Warlingham, on the corner of Fairchildes Lane and Featherbed Lane.
We're around seven miles from central Croydon, a short drive along some delightful country lanes from either Warlingham or New Addington. Satellite navigation systems should locate The White Bear using our postcode: CR6 9PH. Some satnav systems may not find Fairchildes Lane as it is incorrectly labelled on some maps as Fairchildes Road.
There is parking for around 120 cars with a number of dedicated disabled parking spaces.
Other methods of transport
The White Bear is a popular spot for cyclists from all over the south east, and you'll find facilities to secure cycles in both our front and rear car parks, each holding up to eight bikes.
We welcome horses and riders, and horses can be tethered to our fences while their riders enjoy our hospitality.
The narrow lanes leading to The White Bear dictate that it is not served by public transport, so if you aren't driving, walking or riding you'll need to take a taxi. You can ask at the bar for phone numbers of local services.
Arriving by air? Then it's handy that we're just five minutes from Biggin Hill Airport!
