Good food, real ales and roaring fires: could there be a better setting for festive dining? 

Our 16th century country inn is a wonderful place to celebrate the joys of the season with your nearest and dearest.

Please email enquiries@the-whitebear.com to book your table and a member of our team will get back to you to confirm. As per government guidelines, groups are limited to a maximum of six people. 


2 courses for £24 or 3 courses for £31

Pre-ordered menu served from 3 - 23 December (excluding Sundays)

A deposit of £5 per person is required to secure your reservation and we require your pre-ordered menu choices a week before your reservation including notification of gluten free choices.

A discretionary 10% service charge will be added to all Christmas Festive and Christmas Day menus.

Spiced carrot & tamarind soup with curry spiced parmesan toast (v)(gf) 

Smoked & fresh salmon rillette with capers, lemon mayonnaise & crostini (gf) 

Potato & Morcilla cake with crispy egg

Roast butter & honey turkey with homemade stuffing, “pigs” in blankets, roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, gravy& cranberry sauce(gf)

Cranberry crusted nut roast with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire pudding &gravy (v) (gf)

Game & wild mushroom casserole with creamy mash & braised red cabbage (gf)

Mushroom & leek pie with spiced sweet potato wedges & creamed peas (v)

Chart farm roast venison haunch with celeriac puree, roasted rosemary potatoes, Romanesco cauliflower, venison & red wine jus (gf)

Pistachio crusted hake with parsley mash & tender stem broccoli (gf)

Christmas pudding with vanilla bean custard & brandy butter slice

Lemon posset with raspberry sorbet (gf)
